Shane Wagnaar
is adopting a child from United States of America
Update 4/2/2016 Hi my name is Miriam Wagnaar. I am originally from Haiti. I came to America in 2005 on an emergency medical visa due to my medical needs. My parents attempted to adopt me before I arrived to the US but my dossier was lost and my adoption was never completed. Several years later, my parents found a law firm willing to take my case and finally in January 2014 I was adopted. However, I still did not have the proper status to become a citizen or even obtain a social security number. U.S. Immigration stated that I needed to be officially (court documented) living with my parents for 2 years before we could even apply. My parents did not know this loop hole when they applied in 2015. They tried to find a law firm to complete my immigration paperwork but everyone wanted at least $5,000.00 dollars to retain us. They said it was a complicated case. Well, I just want my proper documents so I can receive my social security number and then I can receive my medical care. So, here we are applying again, and my parents need $985.00 for one form, $420.00 for another form and $600.00 for my citizenship form. Since, my parents have worked so hard at raising all of this money, I thought it is now my turn to raise money. So would you help out my parents by donating? If so, you can donate right on this page. All donations are tax deductible. You can also go to my face book page Miriam&’s Adoption Story to learn more about my adoption process and ways to help.
