We started this journey last January when God placed an adoption opportunity in our lap. It took us 8 1/2 months to bring our boys home but it was worth it. They may not look like us but they both take after us with their mannerisms and personality traits…they ARE Lusks. We look at them daily and can't believe how much God has blessed us through them. He had a plan that we couldn't see and He handpicked these boys for us. We have learned that in adoption, no matter how much you plan, there are always things that won't go according to the plan. This adoption was no different, with various unexpected fees. We are still trying to pay off the extra fees for last minute travel changes and flights. We also didn't know about all the other fees we would have after bringing them home. Our new expenses include adopting them in the US, hiring a lawyer for the US adoption, post placement visits by the social worker and fees to get their certificates of US citizenship. Altogether we still need about $9,000. Please consider helping us make these boys officially/legally Lusks and US citizens. Thank you so much for loving them and helping us with our journey.
