Hello! We are Tonya and Zackery Morales. We have been together since 2009 and married since 2013. Love came easy for us, and we knew very early in our relationship that we wanted to get married and would eventually start a family! We just didn’t know how we were going to do the latter of the two.
I, Tonya was born with an extremely rare disorder called MRKH, which basically means that I have my ovaries, but was born without a Uterus or a Cervix. I was diagnosed with MRKH at age 14, and quickly came to understand that my only options for having children would be through adoption or surrogacy.
After a lot of prayer and exploring our options, we have decided that we are supposed to build our family through adoption! We know that this will not be an easy journey! The expected costs are nearly $35,000. While we both have excellent jobs, our student loans are quite a financial burden. This has discouraged us in the past from starting our journey.
Today we refuse to allow the expenses of adoption to prevent us from starting our family! We are not getting any younger, and our hearts long more and more every day for our baby to come home. Matthew 7:7 Says, “Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.” Today we are stepping out in faith, and trusting that the resources that we are lacking will be provided.
