are adopting a child from United States of America

Thank you for being here, friends. As many of you know, our journey to adoption has been long and challenging. We've now been in this process for seven years! Our hearts have been for the children who've needed a place to belong, and we've tried to pursue this in multiple ways (international adoption, domestic adoption, foster care). In the past year, we've opened our hearts to the idea of embryo adoption. This crazy and amazing idea has led us to now - the week of our embryo transfer. This Thursday, a fertility doctor in California will implant two embryos ("snowflakes") in me. We are eagerly praying that this will be the thing that makes us forever parents. Again, we find ourselves in a vulnerable place of needing help to do this. The expenses for this can be comparable to adoption (the medications alone for me have been over $2000). We are humbling asking for help give these little snowflakes a chance at life! We are so grateful to our embryo donors, to friends and family who are supporting us and cheering us on. We're so grateful that this even exists, and that we may get the chance to know our adopted children from the womb.
