I am adopting a child!
I have wanted to be a mom since I was a little girl. Being a mom is the only childhood dream that I still carry with me. Of course, I dreamed that my family would be started the traditional way, but that hasn't happened for me yet. But I'm ready to be a mom, and after much dreaming, prayer, research, and more prayer, I have started the adoption process.
I am beyond excited and am doing everything I can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into my home. As part of my adoption process, I have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more. This is why I have set a goal of $20,000.00 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents. I am thankful to be working with an agency that has invested so much in me already, and will likewise invest in my child's birth parents, and has also worked very hard to keep costs as low as possible.
I hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community I hope to build around my child as he/she grows up.
