Hello all! Welcome to what we like to call Operation Megatron. This is our journey to bring our son home into a loving family. We've had his name picked out for several months, but we just recently went over the meaning. His first name means safe, sound and his middle name means new house/new home. We truly believe that God intends to fulfill that for him through us. We separately felt the call to adopt and were actually scared to tell each other. One night in a candid conversation, we spilled the beans and the journey began. God has blessed us with a huge love and passion for the Deaf Community and American Sign Language. Our involvement there is what prepared us for our calling to our son. He is 8 years old and profoundly deaf, with no formal language. We have been blessed in getting to know other families that have forged this same journey and inspired us to believe that we have all we need to give our son the gifts of language and family and what we don't have, God will provide.
