We're adopting a baby!
After two years of infertility and three unsuccessful rounds of IVF, we are beyond excited to start this new chapter in our journey to become parents. We are doing everything we can to prepare to welcome a beautiful new life into our home.
As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. Domestic adoption can easily cost upwards of $50,000 (yes - we were shocked too!). To ease a bit of the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents, we have set a goal of $33,000.
There is an African proverb that says "It takes a village to raise a child". To us, this proverb means that only by the love, support, and kindness of a community, can a child truly thrive. This is also true for hopeful families - maybe even more so - during the beauty and pain of the adoption process. We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the village we hope to build around our baby as he or she grows.
