After John, Suzi, and Lani spent time with orphans in Haiti in January, 2019, we were called to adopt a precious child from there. As you know, international adoption is quite expensive, and we would like to invite you to walk with us on this journey by praying for us and helping with the financial need as you feel led.
With your prayers and gifts an orphan longing for a family will experience the promise that Jesus made in John 14:18, "I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you."
Great news! Our adoption agency just called and said that they just received our adoption decree! This is a document legalizing Marie’s adoption in Haiti! She now has our last name! Woohoo! 🥹😁🙏🏼❤️
Another Christmas in Haiti instead of home with her family. Please pray for Marie. Please pray for Haiti.🙏🏼🇭🇹❤️
We just got this email from our adoption agency…
“The IBESR has issued your Authorization to Adopt Letter and your dossier has officially exited the IBESR. Congratulations! This means that the Central Authority in Haiti has formally approved your adoption and your case can proceed into court, where the adoption will be finalized legally.”
Praise the Lord! One step closer!
Since children are matched to adoptive families in Haiti by the IBESR, we had no idea who we would be adopting. We knew it would be a girl between the ages of 5 and 15. We went through the entire process of getting our dossier completed without a name or a picture to keep us going. So when the call came in January of 2021 saying that we had been matched with a child, we were thrilled and the tears flowed freely. Her name is Marie.
