Matthew and Cristina O'Sullivan

are adopting a child from United States of America

Adoption has always been a part of our family's story. Cristina was born in La Ceiba, Honduras, three months premature, after surviving an abortion attempt. Weighing only three pounds at birth, she was adopted and brought to the United States six months later. She was able to recover, grow, and experience the unconditional love of family. Without her adoption, our family simply wouldn't exist.

Before having our two boys, and even before being married, we talked about adoption. After Cristina’s health complications from the births of our children, we began to pursue adoption more earnestly. Now the thought of growing our family through the very tradition that made it possible has captivated our imagination, our hopes, and our hearts.

*Updated 11/20/2017* We began this effort by applying and being approved to work with Small World Adoptions, in hopes of adopting a little girl from Nicaragua. Since then, decisions made by the Nicaraguan country program have led us to change course. We are now excited to pursue our dream of growing our family via domestic adoption. Our adoption process will include a home study followed by time spent waiting for a referral of a baby girl.

Will you help us now as we begin our greatest adventure yet? Your gift through AdoptTogether is tax deductible and will go towards our multiple adoption costs. Please see our Facebook page for more information on how your donation will be used. It will also provide adoption updates and upcoming fundraising efforts.

We believe that God has been cultivating a love for adoption in us since 2005. We are stepping out in faith to pursue an adoption, and trust that He will unite us with our daughter.
