We have BIG news! We are adopting!
We have always felt that our family's story would include adoption. Early this year we began to feel God seriously calling us towards this dream of adoption. After a lot of prayer (and research) we have decided to pursue domestic infant adoption.
A few months ago we started the paperwork process and we have set up this crowdfunding campaign now that our home study has been completed. We are expecting to hear any day now that our status will change to a "waiting family". Once that happens we are available to be matched with an expectant mother and baby!
It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs usually average around $40,000. These costs range from health care, legal fees, and travel. This is why we have set a goal of $10,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.
We are beyond grateful for all of the love and support we have felt throughout this journey; its been amazing already even though we are just beginning. We appreciate all of your prayers as we seek to follow God's will for us and for our future child. Our excitement to see how God works in our family in the coming months is unparalleled, and we cannot wait to introduce our new son or daughter to all of you one day!
