is adopting a child from United States of America

We are adopting again!

Once upon a time, we were 18 and newly in love dreaming of our life together. That dream always included a handful of kiddos and not surprisingly, we discussed adopting. Our 18-year-old selves couldn’t have ever imagined the roller coaster ride we would eventually go on to become parents and build our family.

While adoption was always on our radar, infertility was not. We prayed for years that God would allow us to have children, never knowing the valley He would call us to walk through before answering our prayers. After 3 years of infertility treatments, we were confident that was not the way we were supposed to build our family. And because adopting had always been on our hearts, it seemed like the best next step for us.

Back in 2013, we jumped into domestic infant adoption and really the rest is history. We welcomed our daughter, Luna into our family just 7 short months later in 2014. We were elated to finally have the opportunity to be parents. And we were thrilled to have the opportunity to share in an open adoption with Luna's birth family - a relationship we still share and enjoy today - five years later!

We always knew we wanted to have more than one child, so when Luna was around 3 years old, we jumped into another domestic infant adoption. We had no idea we'd wait a grueling 18 months and be shown for over 15 opportunities before sweet number 16 came along in the form of a Facebook post about a baby needing a family on a warm Summer Friday in 2018.

We welcomed our Noah home just a few days later and he has been a wonderful addition to our family. We've had the opportunity to share in relationship with his birth parents through email, which has been a priceless gift.

Much to our surprise, just a few days ago we received a call, out of the blue, that Noah's birth parents were expecting again. And then came the question - would we be willing to welcome this baby, Noah's biological sibling, into our family? We are humbled and honored to have been given this opportunity and without hesitation agreed to grow our family by one more.

Our sweet baby is due in early February 2020 and we couldn't be more excited to meet this new little one. But adoption is expensive and this baby was a big surprise to us. So humbly, we ask for your financial partnership with us as we embark on another adoption journey.

Never in our wildest dreams did we imagine we would be in this place again - taking a BIG leap of faith and counting on God to provide all we need to add this little love to our family.

It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $40,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal of $20,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.

If you can give financially, we'd be so grateful . We'd also ask that you pray for our family. Pray for this sweet baby. And please pray for Noah and this baby's birth parents - that they would have peace, comfort and wisdom in the days and months ahead.

We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the vital community we hope to build around our child as he/she grows up.

With Gratitude,

Loren, Sarah, Luna, Noah and Baby
