We have BIG news!
We are adopting a child! Many of you know that we have had adoption on our hearts for years. We could not be more excited for this next chapter in our story! We are so grateful for all the kind words and encouragement from our family and friends. We have been blown away by so many of our family and friends asking what comes next and how they can help.
Here are the areas we would love continued support in: Pray. Please be praying for the expectant parents, the baby, medical staff, and all other that will be part of this chapter. Learn. Adoption is both beautiful and broken. We are grateful to be considered by expectant parents. Take time to learn how to talk about adoption well and to love all sides of the triad: adoptee, birth parents, and adoptive parents. Give. We are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal of $20,000.00 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.
