It’s been 12 years since we first visited an adoption expo at our local library. The idea of adoption had always been appealing to us due to friends and relatives who had adopted or been adopted. For our family, however, the timing never felt quite right, and the idea of raising support and sifting through a mound of paperwork always felt daunting.
In the years since, God has been wonderfully gracious to bless us with the gift of three amazing children. Every time he has given us a child, we have been surprised and overwhelmed with joy. However, our prayer has continually been that he would give us more. The influence of a single life is profound, and we delight in the way God has intended for families to be one of his main avenues for the spread of the gospel and the discipleship of one generation to the next.
It was a result of all of these thoughts and desires that brought us to the end of 2020 having decided that we wanted to grow our family and illustrate the love God has shown us through adopting a child into our family.

It is with incredible joy (and a bit of trepidation) that we begin this exciting journey. But we definitely need significant help.
We had our first meeting to start the adoption process at the end of December. In God’s sovereignty, we were matched with a birth mom in 15 days. All that to say that things are happening very quickly. We would be honored if you would consider participating with us in this journey of faith and obedience and would be grateful for any sacrifice you could make to bring this little one into our home. We are excited to see what God will do in our family and in our own hearts throughout this year.
