We've had the desire to adopt for a long time now. We shyed away from it because of cost and being a difficult process to go through, but we both feel it is a calling for our family. Throughout our adoption journey, my passion for adoption has grown. The fact that there are women desiring to carry out their pregnancies and make adoption plans is just emotionally overwhelming for me. If these women are willing to give birth to their children then we must find safe, healthy, and loving homes for them. We are so thankful that our home is one of those. We are learning as we go and haven't figured out everything in regards to adoption but we are willing, teachable, and have lots of love and warm hugs to give. We are trusting that God will guide us through - with the help of many of our family and friends. Every family may not be called to adopt, but we believe ours is. We are so excited to take this next step in growing our family.
We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $40,000 or more. This is why we have set up a campaign, to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.
We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as he/she grows up. It takes a village.
We please ask for your prayers as we are on this journey. Prayers for our family, the birth family, and the baby we will be joyfully welcoming into our family. We can't thank you enough for all of your support! It truly means the world to us! God Bless y'all!
With Love,

Deuteronomy 10:18
"He defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow, and loves the foreigner residing among you, giving them food and clothing."
We are to love and take care of one another
Matthew 25:40
"The King will reply, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me."
Matthew 18:5
"Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me
Such a simple verse but it truly reveals the heart of Christ. Accepting children and regarding them highly was always at the core of His message. Adopting and foster care are full embodiments of this verse.
