As most of you know, We adopted twins!! As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. We were reluctant to ask for help at first but adoption related costs can easily total up to $30,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal of $15,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.
I'd like to tell you a bit about our journey…I met my husband, Marc 6 years ago & it was love at first sight! I knew immediately that not only did I want to marry this man but I wanted to have children with him as well. We have now been married for 3 years, dating 6 and 5 of those years we tried having a child. After many doctor appts and research about adoption, we chose to look into adoption. As much as we desperately wanted to have biological children, we chose not to put my body through the stress of extensive infertility testing or IVF. I felt like it was our calling to give a child a better life. We knew that adoption was going to cost a fortune but it was worth the debt as we could not imagine our lives without children. Now here is when the miracle happened…a dear friend of mine that I met at work knew a girl who was looking to place her baby up for adoption. I asked if she’d be willing to talk to me and possibly meet. One thing lead to another and we met a month later. We instantly connected and she decided to move forward with choosing us as the family! We were cautiously optimistic but very excited. Fast forward a month and the BM was going in to find out the sex of the baby… Well, SURPRISE..IT’S TWINS! A boy & a girl! We were shocked, excited, scared, nervous…every emotion that you could go through but we were up for the challenge. Our beautiful babies were born on January 10th, 2019. We could never thank the BM enough for the precious & selfless gift she has given us. Our precious boy, Rory Lennon & beautiful girl, Stella Jude were happy, healthy, 10 fingers, 10 toes, and absolute perfection! Our family of 2 plus our pup, Doug grew to a family of 4 overnight. I’m still in disbelief that these two tiny humans are ours. I’ve finally felt my greatest love and we are now complete.
