We're adopting!
We have both always had a strong desire to have children and early on in our dating we both expressed the desire to adopt. After a few years of trying to conceive, including a few rounds of fertility treatments, it has become clear that the beauty of adoption will be the sole way our family is created. Naturally there have been tears shed over the fact we won’t have the chance to see what our biological children would have looked like, but now it is even more exciting to really have no clue what our kids will look like! We love how adoption is a picture of our relationship with the Lord — how we were strangers, but are now sons and daughters! We can’t wait to have our family! We’ve got so much love to share and a great big family waiting to meet and love on our kids, too!
We are choosing an agency to begin the Home Study process. We are thrilled to begin this new leg of our journey and would be honored if you would come along with us! Pray for us. Ask us questions. Laugh with us. Cry with us. Encourage us. And maybe even help us!
Adoption is expensive, friends! We had no idea when we started looking at our options. It can cost anywhere from $7,500 to $19,000. This is why we have set a goal of $10,000 to help cover some of the cost involved.
We have been so blessed to have such loving family, friends, church family, coworkers, and communities! We want to invite you into this process with us, so you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as he/she grows up.
