Leigh Ann and I met in 2002 and were married in 2009. Since then God has greatly blessed our family with two wonderful children of our own. Since the birth of our last child we both feel very strongly that the Lord has called us to adoption. As Christians, through faith, we are adopted into Gods family and what better way to spread/show His love than to also adopt into ours. We are all called to love one another and this is one way we feel called to do that.
Over the last 6 years we faced many struggles as we experienced several miscarriages and a complicated pregnancy with our now 4-year-old son. Our infertility struggles took not only a physical but an emotional toll on us as well. We wanted more children, but felt as though the Lord was shutting that door for our future. Our God works in miraculous ways and we should have known that through our struggles He was preparing us for another journey. Yes, in some ways He was shutting one door, but we both realized He was opening another. He was preparing a way for our hearts to be more faithful and for us to show the love He has for us to others. John 13:34 states, "A new command I give You: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another."
Why did we start this page? We know that prayer is a mighty tool. We ask that everyone who visits this site or hears about our adoption be in prayer for us. Please pray that the Lord will make this journey even more clear than it is right now. Please pray that the Lord will be working in not only our hearts but also in the hearts of all that will be involved in this adoption. Please pray for peace and comfort for all involved. Please pray that the Lord will financially make this journey possible. Most of all please pray that His will be done in whatever the outcome is.
When we first considered adoption, we began to do our research and were concerned with the high cost of the average adoption. With the average adoption reaching nearly $40,000 we considered not taking this step in moving forward. We believe that through faith in our heavenly Father we can move mountains, and we invite you to be a part in moving that mountain. With that being said Leigh Ann and I are fully prepared to do whatever it takes to make this journey a possibility. We are asking all of our friends and family to consider a financial donation to help make this a possibility. Even if it is not for us please consider financially helping other adopting families whether that is through your local church or non-profit organizations that help families going through adoption.
