8/25 Update- We've received the referral for the girls!!! The end is in sight, but there are still some hurdles to jump. Once we accept the referral, we'll be inundated with paperwork and forms, all in preparation to travel. We hope to travel in the October-November time frame, but so much is out of our control. Along with this great news comes significant fees. To that end, we've already paid $12k in fees, and through our savings and the donations we've already received we've been able to set aside an additional $20k, but we still have ~$6500 to go, so every little bit helps! Dear Family and Friends- Thank you for your consideration in supporting us bringing our daughters home. With two boys already, adopting a daughter(s) has been in our hearts for several years now. After looking at several different countries we felt drawn to Colombia based on the quality of the program and the availability of children. Adoption is an expensive endeavor, though, and while it's never been easy for us to ask for help, the significant cost of adoption has humbled us. We've been pinching pennies and saving for the past few months and have a great start, but we're not quite there yet!
