We are so excited to have adopted a precious little girl from India!
We are so incredibly thankful to everyone that has given so generously to us during this process; whether monetarily, through prayer, or even just helping us out around the house. We could not have done this without the community that God gave us through all of you.
We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as she grows up.
February 20th, 2023, after over 2 years of beginning the adoption process, we squeezed into a car and were driven to an orphanage outside of Delhi. After pleasantries and meeting with the orphanage doctor, we were handed the newest member of our family. Words cannot express the surge of emotion when we saw her for the first time. She was promptly handed to us, which understandably made her distraught, and then we were kind of shooed out of the orphanage. All of us a little bewildered, we squeezed into the car, and I have to say it was not a pleasant ride home. But over the next few days we worked hard on getting to know each other, and slowly she is learning to trust and enjoy us. We are so privileged and excited to be on this journey with her now, and can't wait to discover her personality and continue to bond.
There are also no words to describe how thankful we are to all of you; without your prayers, support, and encouragement we could not have done this. We are so thankful for God's hand and leading in this whole process and look forward to introducing our new little one to Him.

Our adoption order was signed and we are ready to go! Thanks to so many of you, we are getting ready to depart for India on February 16th! We've bought our tickets and can't wait to meet and pick up our little girl! We feel so blessed and thankful to have so much love and support. Can't wait to introduce her!
So we've received a written order giving approval for our adoption from the judge-but it didn't have her full name on it. Still waiting and praying for the final order to be completed. All the judge needs to do is sign it!
So we have 3 major approvals we have to get from India. We got the first one last year, and today we finally got the second one! It's called NOC-which stands for "No objection certificate."
So now, all our paperwork goes to court and we'll need written approval from the judge. That's the final approval we need!
However, the central adoption authority in India has been working on changing how the process is done in court. They just officially changed it all, and hopefully eventually it will be beneficial for adoptions, but for now, no one knows what's going on. So we're definitely expecting delays as this new process is figured out.

We are matched with a precious little girl! She has some limb differences and she is beautiful! We can't wait to get her home! We are currently madly working on paperwork and praying that the approvals get processed quickly-esp. through India.
