Hello! We are Richard and Valerie Rieben. When we were married 14 years ago we never could've imagined the incredible adventures God had in store for us! In 2005, just 2.5 years after saying I do, we welcomed biological triplets Maren, Lukas and Jacob into our family. But the adventures didn't stop there! In 2007, our family grew by two when Joshua was adopted from Uzbekistan and Evan from Ukraine. Life with five under five was so much fun that we decided to invite a few more to the party and in 2010 Alayna, Lilyana and Alexis joined us from Bulgaria. Realizing that we were still a few players short of a baseball team, we brought Benjamin and Thomas home from Bulgaria in 2012 bringing us to double digits! They say that things are cheaper by the dozen and, with three seats left in our 15-passenger van, we decided to return to Bulgaria in 2014 to make Jesse, Eli and Gabe part of our family! Our van may be full (though we hear that driving a bus is pretty hip), but our hearts and our home have room for more! We will soon be welcoming FOUR MORE amazing children into our family from Bulgaria (in case you've lost count, that's 17!): sisters who are 12 and 14 and two, 3 year-old boys with Muscular Dystrophy and Noonan Syndrome.
