Our lives changed forever after reading a FB post from a friend about two teenage orphans aging out. They thought they were too old to find a forever family and we had never considered adopting. We hosted them and it was like they had always been part of our family. The typical response we hear is "you are adopting teenagers, what?". However, "And anyone who welcomes a little child like this on my behalf is welcoming me." Matthew 18:5. A child, no matter the age, is a child of God and we know that we are called to show these girls Christ&'s love by embracing them into our family. Francis Chan says being a Christian, God&'s call does not always mean you will be comfortable. So we are stepping out in faith, overcoming fears, and expanding our family. While we can provide financially for 2 additional children the initial expenses are high along with some dental and medical procedures required once home. We look forward to setting them up for success in the future. This is the road that Christ is leading us on and we ask of you "Will you join us?".
