6 years ago, Savannah and I decided that we wanted to expand our little family. Military life seems to delay a lot of things. Seeking help for our troubles in getting pregnant seemed to be one of them. After 3 years of treatment, multiple first trimester miscarriages, and ultimately, the birth and loss of our 2 month old son, we decided that it was time for us to explore other ways to expand our family.
Savannah and I have now committed to an adoption journey. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. The costs of domestic infant adoption are staggering and can easily total over $40,000. Frankly, it was the primary reason that we held off on committing to the process. We have established a goal of raising at least 25% of our our total cost through fundraising and crowdfunding!
We are committed, more than ever, to our dream and see this as not only a journey through adoption, but also a journey through faith. We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as he/she grows up.
