By the grace of God, we have been blessed with the opportunity to grow our family through adoption. We are pursuing a sibling group in Colombia and hope to bring them home soon. For several years, we have anticipated and prayed for this adoption. There have been many twists and turns, but we’re now making some tangible progress. There’s so much uncertainty with international adoption, but we’re so grateful to know that God is our provider. There’s no way we can do this without Him! Never in a million years would we have imagined adoption from Colombia and yet, God knew! For years, He has been preparing us for this moment; we are grateful and humbled to follow His will! We come to you, our family and friends, to join us on this journey.

  • Update 20

    Immigration!

    March 14, 2025

    Our i800, the application to immigration to adopt the twins, has been delivered to their office in Texas! Now the really exciting, really stressful countdown begins! The i800 approval triggers the info we need for our Colombian visas. It also starts the countdown for when the kids are moved from their foster home to the orphanage where we will meet them! We are praying, based on current timelines, that our i800 is approved in the next 2-3 weeks, and the Article 5 follows shortly after! Once we get the Article 5, the kids will begin their preparation for transfer! Once they’re transferred, there’s a standard 21 day waiting period before we travel to get them! We are praying for a miracle to travel before their birthday in June! ❤️

    We are officially matched with the twins! We are over the moon excited and rejoicing for the Lord's sovereignty and grace! Lots more to share, but we wanted to update now!

    We’ve received some updated information on the twins and would deeply appreciate prayers for their health and well-being. We also received unexpected news that puts us on an immediate time crunch—we need to complete the adoption within the next 3-4 months. This is a huge hurdle, and we are trusting God to make a way.

    We have files!

    January 21, 2025

    We have some exciting updates about the twins! Our agency shared that official matching should happen very soon—praise the Lord! We just received some additional documents a few hours ago and the rest are on their way!

    This week, one of our big tasks is to hire a translator to translate hundreds of pages of documents so we can submit everything to USCIS for approval to bring the twins home. Please pray with us for a reasonable quote from the translators, as this service is estimated to cost between $3,000 and $5,000+ since everything must be translated twice. We trust in God’s provision, as He has been so faithful throughout this journey.

    On a fun note, we also have some sweet tasks to focus on in the coming weeks! We're putting together a care package for the twins, which will include a few short videos of our home and family, a photo album, and some small toys for them to enjoy. Please continue to keep us in your prayers as we prepare our hearts, home, and everything in between for the arrival of our precious twins!

    Closing 2024 with Hope and Anticipation

    December 31, 2024

    As we close out 2024, our hearts are full of hope and longing. This year brought so much change, anticipation, struggle, heartache, and a deep yearning for our twins. We are ending this year with renewed hope that 2025 will be the year we finally bring our children home. Our dossier is approved, and Colombia is working to update the twins’ files so we can officially be matched and move forward with adopting them. We’re praying for a quick turnaround and for immigration paperwork to be completed smoothly, so we can have our family together in just a few months.

    We’re still selling our adoption T-shirts to help with the costs! If you’ve already ordered one, we are eternally grateful. Thank you to everyone who has donated, prayed, and walked alongside us during this adoption journey. In the next couple of months, we’ll be collecting photos of everyone in their shirts to include in a care package for the twins. If you’ve ordered one, please message me a picture of you wearing it—we’d love to send these to the kids to show how loved they already are!
