is adopting a child from United States of America

We have BIG news!

We are adopting a child!

We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal of $20,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.

You might be wondering…. why adoption?

“By God’s overflow of mercy and grace, we have been adopted into His family. While once orphans, we have been rescued by love. This reality changes everything. He has set His love on us. And by the power of His Spirit, we are freed to set our love on orphans, caring for them as family and pointing them to our Savior, for the glory of His name.”

This quote is taken from our home church, Austin Stone Community Church. I believe it sums up very well the beautiful truth in Scripture of God’s rescuing and redeeming love, which motivates us by His Spirit.

Secondly, we love children and believe that _ every _ human life is valuable. There are children in need of families to love and care for them and, by God's grace, we want to provide a safe and loving home to at least one of them. We look forward to the joy and love this child will uniquely bring to our family. Judah and Ivy can't wait to meet their new baby brother or sister (or both?! We are open and expectantly waiting to be matched!).

We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as he/she grows up.
