We have some BIG news. We might be adopting a baby.
That's the happy exciting piece. Here's the rest:
This is a very unique situation in that the birth mother is quite far along. She is due in about 10 weeks and because of the quick turnaround time, we have to come up with a very large sum of money in a VERY short time period.
We are beyond excited and incredibly and are doing everything we can to be prepared to possibly welcome a beautiful new life into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $40,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal of $35,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.
We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as he grows up.
