are adopting a child from United States of America

As many of you know, we hold family incredibly close to our hearts. We are blessed to have supportive, loving families that raised us and share in our joys; and we want nothing more than to expand our own family. Over the past three years we have gone down many different medical paths to address our infertility and build our family. Although we are disappointed that we were unsuccessful, we are fully committed to growing our family and are beyond excited about our recent decision to build our family through adoption. We are incredibly thankful for the loving support from our friends and family during the last few years and we wish we did not have to ask for more help, but you could play a critical role in helping us find our child. Our adoption story started in 2018 when we began looking into adoption. We attended information sessions, did research, and joined online support groups. We were quickly overwhelmed with information, costs, and the varied routes of adoption to build our family. While we knew that adoption was the best choice for us, we were more than surprised at the options available. After much discussion and prayer, chose to proceed with embryo adoption. Unfortunately, we are heartbroken to say that two different embryo transfers were unsuccessful, and we needed to take a pause to grieve this loss. Once we were ready to start the adoption process again, we were faced with the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. While we decided to continue to work closely with our fertility doctors, the process can be lengthy and emotionally burdensome. Our top priority is growing our family, so we are continuing to explore all options, including domestic adoptions. While the road has and will have obstacles, we have dedicated ourselves to building our family. Fast forward to today! We hope that this will be the year that our family grows. Some people may be surprised at the time and overall cost of adoptions, we certainly were. Depending on the state you live in or adopt from, total costs can be upwards of $35,000. We are humbled and grateful for the many people who have also asked how and if they can help. We very much appreciate all the support we have received along this journey. Asking for financial help is difficult – but it is the biggest hurdle adoptive families face while trying to grow their family. We also understand that it is not easy to donate to every cause along the way, especially while living through a pandemic. So we humbly ask for you to remember us, because we have so much love to share and we want nothing more than to open our hearts and home to a child. If you are not in a position to donate, we ask that you please share our story, share this page, and share our facebook page; @journey2babyborda with your friends and family. We ask that we are allowed to take a small space in your hearts and minds, as we have learned that close to 30 percent of domestic adoption matches are made through word-of-mouth networking. We know in our hearts that although we are taking this journey together, we are not going alone, and we hope to not only use this site to help offset some of the costs, but also to build our network of family, friends, and supporters. Most of all, we thank you in advance for your love, support, and generosity as we travel through this exciting and scary time.
