Hello everyone,
We are excited to share that we are adopting a child!
Our paperwork is complete, home study is finished, and our applications submitted. Now we begin the tough stretch of waiting to be matched with a birth family and child, which could be just a couple of months or up to a year. In the mean time, we are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a little one into our home. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $35,000-40,000 or more, which is why we have set a goal of raising $20,000 to help ease the financial burden that comes along with the adoption process. We are also in the process of applying for several adoption specific grants, in addition to launching other fundraising efforts. While we appreciate any financial gifts, we would be grateful for your prayers, advice, and support in our journey towards parenthood.
We feel so blessed to be surrounded by such supportive, generous friends and family, and we hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as an integral part of our our child's story. We are beyond thrilled to begin this new adventure!
