Dear Family and Friends,
As most of you already know, we brought Reggie home from Jinan, China in May of 2014. Each day since then, we are reminded how blessed we are to have him in our lives. What a bright young man with such an amazing personality! It was a long journey getting to the point of being matched with Reggie and then ultimately being able to bring him home to become part of our family, but there is no question that he was absolutely worth the wait.
Reggie has been the driving force in our decision to adopt again. For the last couple of years, he has been adamant in his desire for a little brother and, unbeknownst to him, we had been thinking about it anyway. So, during the Summer of 2017, we started the process of adopting another child from China.
Providing an orphaned child with a loving home is such a rewarding and humbling experience and we are so thankful that God has led us down this path. We already have so much unbelievable love for Reggie and we are now making room in our hearts for one more.
We were recently matched with a little boy. His name is going to be Henry and he will be 3 years old at the end of February. We are currently finalizing the paperwork that we need to before we can travel to China and finally meet him.
It’s no secret that adoption, both international and domestic, can be quite costly, therefore we are asking for the support from those who feel moved to help in our journey to bring Henry home. It’s a little out of our comfort zone asking for financial help, but at the same time, we feel compelled to use this platform to bring awareness and encouragement to others that may be thinking about adoption as a way to expand their family. With the support of friends and family, anything is possible.
We’ve set a goal that will help us with our travel expenses. We are hoping to travel as early as February 2019, but it could possibly be early March.
