We have always been excited about starting a family through adoption. After years of wanting a baby, our journey took us through fertility clinics, lawyers, and finally an adoption agency. In the Spring of 2015 we decided upon Adoption by Choice, a Christian based adoption agency in Erie, PA. In early August we were contacted by the agency and were informed that we had been chosen by a potential birth mother, soon to be delivering a baby girl that needed a family. Our daughter, Matilda Bea Schaney, "Tilly", was born on August 14th, and we brought her home from the hospital just two days later. Having Tilly in our lives has been a blessing. She is truly our greatest adventure! We have many months to go before the adoption is finalized and the legal work is completed, but our journey as a family has begun and we couldn&'t be happier.
