We seeking an adoption of our nephew!
We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to finalize an adoption for our nephew. He’s been raised under our roof for more than one year now. Throughout Axtin’s short life, he has experience countless trauma. We have been through DCS/CPS cases in multiple states, numerous hours of therapy and medical exams. At this point in our journey, Axtin is a happy and thriving 7-year-old little boy who is loved endlessly by my husband, myself, and our children. He’s been given more opportunities in 13 months than he’s had in his lifetime so far. It is his wishes to make this permanency plan so that he is positive he doesn’t have to return to what he called home before. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal of $4,000 to begin the process and help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive families.
