Hey y'all!
First off I want to thank y'all for being our people! For your friendship and support through everything that life has thrown at our family, we are forever grateful! God has truly blessed us with an amazing group of people who have seen us through so much and prayed with us every step of the way! From Spina Bifida to cancer, the Lord has not forsaken us and has given us an unparalleled support group in all of our friends, church members, and family!
We are asking for those prayers again! After years of prayerfully considering adoption and life circumstances derailing us a few times, we are excited to share that we are ready to jump in whole heartedly! Maddie will be such an amazing big sister and we feel we have the love, resources, and such a strong desire to grow our little family. (I'm already day dreaming about names and sweet baby smell :) ) I prayed that God would assure both David and I that this desire is from Him and He has! Our life may be complicated but it is also filled with so much joy and much to be thankful for. I know how much more work another baby can be but I also know how much joy is there too! (as well as feeling so humbled that God and a woman we have yet to meet but are praying for already, would choose us to provide a home for a baby that else wise would not have one.)
Would you pray with us?
That we would seek God to guide us through each and every step.
That the Lord use this process to glorify Him!
That it happen as smoothly (and fingers crossed quickly) as possible.
That God will provide emotionally, spiritually, and financially to make this a step our family can take.
Lastly we would be so grateful if you would consider a donation to help us bring our baby to their forever home! As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. Adoption related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal of 28,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents. Each donation is tax deductible.
We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as he/she grows up.
As Maddie Kate says, "every baby needs a big sister," and she is desperately waiting to fill those shoes!
