Friends and Family!
If you haven’t heard already, we’ve got exciting news! Since before we got married, we have talked about the importance of adoption as a way to bless a child and challenge our family to more fully understand our status as adopted children of God.
When we started the process we knew it was going to be an expensive proposition… and we have been saving for a long time to make this a reality for our family. We expect our adoption to cost around $30,000 in total - so far we have covered about $15,000.
To help cover the delta, we’ve set a fundraising goal of $10,500 to cover the Placement Fee, which is paid when the child is placed into our family. The Placement Fee covers items like hospital services for the birth mom, coordination for relinquishment of parental rights, and filing of documents for the legal adoption.
We’re hoping to raise these funds through a couple methods, first, crowdfunding through the AdoptTogether ministry. We are also planning a hand-made gifts fundraiser. Our family is working on everything from home-made play-doh and granola to bath-bombs and baby blankets. Thanks for walking with us!

p.s. For anyone interested in supporting us through the AdoptTogether site, it is a 501(c)(3) organization. All donations (after a 5% surcharge) will go directly to Bethany Christian Services in the form of a grant to ensure the tax deductible status is maintained.
