We are so excited to finally announce- Emma is going to be a big sister! And nope, I’m NOT pregnant! We’re adopting!
We have just finished the home study process and now enter ‘the wait period’. We are so excited to add another precious daughter to our family- Emma will be such a wonderful sister, and we are so excited to see their stories unfold.
This year at BSF (Bible Study Fellowship), I studied Romans. It’s a challenging, doctrine-filled book that Paul wrote to the Romans, explaining how important a relational and committed faith with God is and how it is only by His grace alone through Christ’s work on the cross alone that we obtain righteousness. One of my favorite verses from is Romans 5:3-5. ‘Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.’ Pregnancy was suffering for me, with crippling anxiety and stress taking over for most of it. But through that pain, God opened my heart to adoption. He nudged us to answer His call in such sweet ways, it can only be explained as from Him. What a privilege that God’s glory will be revealed through the adoption of our sweet girl. I love that our adoption agency's mission is to show the world the gospel through adoption and ministering to the vulnerable. God adopted me as a believer into His family, and He gave us this gift as a reminder
We are so excited to share this news and have y’all come alongside us. We are self funding a portion of the adoption fees and looking to fund raise for the remaining amount. If you wish, we’d love for you to partner with us. We ask for your prayers too- for patience, for the birth mother and our little one’s health and well being, for provision and for God’s will to be done!
