Matthew Miller

is adopting a child from Saint Vincent and the Grenadines

Since our engagement we have always said we hoped to adopt some day. A year and a half ago we made it a goal to at the very least have the process started in two years. We became licensed foster parents in the fall of 2012 and assumed we would adopt out of the foster care system. In February of this year we received an email about a 2 year old named Matthew and fell in love with his pictures quickly. Despite looking at available children in The United States for close to a year, none touched our hearts like he has. Faith is very much an important part of our lives, and without a doubt we feel as if the Lord led us to Matthew in order for us to adopt him as our son. In a wonderful and frightening twist little Matthew's adoption is moving very quickly. This is due to the fact that most of the preparations were made when he was 5 months old. It looks like we will bring him home in the next month or so! Since this is happening so quickly it is putting a considerable financial strain on us since we haven't had time to save for the legal fees and travel costs. Please consider helping us!
