I appreciate all of you so much and want to thank everyone in advance for the prayers and support! I have tried hard to be as self-sufficient as i can in saving my little guy but I need help for what i hope to be the final fight! Unfortunately, I will not know what the final adoption expenses will be until the end. I’ve set the goal after speaking to our lawyer in what I hope will be high enough to cover any situation.
Long Version: For those that don’t know me, please read my little guy story below. I’m sorry it doesn’t have all the details. His birth parent’s stories and my little guy struggles aren’t mine to share publicly.
This situation may be the hardest thing I’ve ever been through but I always remember that they gave me one of my biggest blessings.
Early in 2022 I was contacted by the biological mother as well as DFPS about a child that would benefit if placed temporarily in a family members home. Without hesitation I accepted. Things happened very fast….At this time there have been new developments in the case and bio mom is wanting the child moved from my home and this situation again allows me to fight to adopt him.. Currently, the little guy is 2 years old 8 months old. For those that are unaware of family custody laws. Adoption is the ONLY way that I can guarantee that he gets to always remain with me. The state of Texas does not make this process easy. The family member that fights for adoption is responsible for all costs. I know you don’t have all the details but 2023 was easily one of the hardest years of my live. I was never given time to adequately prepare my heart, home or finances and honestly had no clue that I was going to have fight so hard for him. This little boy is everything i didn’t know I needed, the most unexpected blessing. He has overcome EVERY obstacle so far and i feel that he deserves to always live with the family he loves and the ones who will love and support him through any additional struggles he faces. I love and choose him for who he is and will never give up on him.
