We're thrilled to share that we are looking to expand the Sherrod family!
After 18+ months of filling out all of the nitty gritty details, we are ready to put our names on a list and get ready to welcome a tiny human into our family.
You might be shocked to hear that the cost of joining a list alone can cost upwards of $60,000, which, in addition to numerous other adoption related fees, has put our family in a tough spot.
Although we have always known that adoption was the only feasible route to parenthood, there wasn't any public information that could have prepared us for the astronomical costs this process requires. After being diagnosed with aggressive Endometriosis in August 2018, it also became clear that our ability to 'save' for adoption would be hindered by our need to prioritize our family's health and well-being, including an extensive series of surgeries and procedures.
As we enter 2022, we are excited to get this process 'back on the road' and finally get our names on a list! However, we are looking for help from our community to make this dream a reality sooner than later.
