We are adopting!
After spending sometime in the realm of foster care we have decided to switch gears and pursue domestic infant adoption. We cared for multiple NAS infants, walked alongside bio parents (when given the opportunity), and studied all the things trauma related during our time as foster parents. While our hearts continue to beat for vulnerable children and their families who are in foster care, it was time for that chapter to close for now.
We know that adoption is for life, it doesn’t end once papers are signed. We are dedicated not only to our future child but to their biological family as well.
We are doing everything we can to be prepared to embark on this journey. As part of our adoption process, we have started a fundraising campaign. As many of you may know adoption can be pricey. This is why we have set up this campaign to have an opportunity available for those who are able and willing to support us financially.
We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child.
