We are James and Abby, and as you may have heard, we are adopting a child!
We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a new life into our home. We have chosen an incredible agency to guide us through the process, Christian Homes and Family Services. We have been so impressed with their love and care for the birth mothers, the adoptive families (that's us!) and their staff.
There are many steps to this process, and many expenses involved, too! We are completing an incredibly large pile of forms, each asking for details of our lives. Where we live, where we work, what our income is, what our church is like, what is important to our family, etc. There are some little and some big expenses along the way. We have had to pay for each background check fingerprinting session, each doctor approval appointment, and coming up, a Home Study fee. This pays for all the work done in reading and approving our forms, and the time spent with the social worker in our home. There will be other fees as we go.
We have been so thankful for the prayers and support you have already poured on us during this adventure. That means the world to us! Knowing that we have such an incredible team working through this with us is incredible, and reminds us daily of God's faithfulness to care for us.
