We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal of $25,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents. We aren’t looking for a free ride but adopting is extremely expensive.
To tell you a little bit more about us, we met 8 years ago in Key West, FL. We dated and got married while living there. A year after getting married, a career opportunity brought us to the Midwest and we have called Wisconsin home for about five years. We love it here and are looking forward to the many memories our family will be making here. We both work in the Real Estate field and renovate depressed homes on the side for fun! Our latest project is an old Victorian style farmhouse built in 1885! Both of us are very close with our families and they are all so excited for our adoption journey! We see our families every chance we get! There are lots of little ones running around at the holidays and we can't wait for one or maybe someday two or three of those to be ours!
Our family currently consists of us two, Kaleb and Cortland, our rescue pup Pacey, and our three rescue cats, Big Cat, Small Cat & Tiny Boots. We are planning on a domestic infant adoption and cannot wait to expand our family! We have so much love to give a child and know this is the right step for our family. As a gay couple adoption can be a bit trickier for us as some of the widely available(and affordable) agencies only work with heterosexual couples. We have identified an agency to work with and are very excited about beginning the process of expanding our family!
