We are adopting a child!
We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal of $40,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.
We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as he/she grows up. The heart behind our adoption comes from Hosea 14. In this chapter, God is calling His people to turn away from sin and trust in Him. What follows is a beautiful description of how the family of God will flourish under His care. "In You, the orphan finds mercy" (Hosea 14:3).
It is our deepest hope and prayer that through our adoption our precious child will not only flourish through our family's love, but more importantly receive the salvation that can only come through Jesus. The imagery of Hosea 14 shows our life without God and then the growth and fullness we experience through a life with Him, and we desperately desire this for all of our children.
