Hi there, we are the Snyder family. Something happened this summer that we did not expect. Our family hosted three older boys from Eastern Europe. They are brothers that have suffered much. Death of a mother, hunger and abandonment. We decided that God was calling us to host them. We hoped for a teen girl. We have two teen girls at home. We also have 3 little ones with special needs. As you can see, Adding three teen boys was a huge deal for us.When God call, He calls you to something BIG! We knew in the begining this was a HOST only experience. We tried to protect our hearts. Then one day I could not stop… I let it go and chose to love these boys. Slowly they began to open up. The each, one by one started to open up their walls and let us in. They learned that through the fighting, the blood stained carpet, the anger, the teasing, we still loved them. Finally the oldest did it. He risked being let down again and he DARED to LOVE us. "mom, I love you." We know the younger brothers are not adoptable. They are in a loving Christian foster home. We know the older will age out of his orphanage soon.
