We are officially adopting!
While I was going through radiation treatment for breast cancer, my sister had an emergency c-section and passed away days later. Without hesitation, we decided to be parents to this beautiful baby! We quickly realized that adoption is not cheap and we have had to put it off while we save up the money. Unfortunately, with Covid, we haven't been able to save the amount we need yet.
As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more. Fortunately, ours is a relative adoption and is only a fraction of this price. This is why we have set a goal of $4500 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.
We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as he grows up.
