We're Kristina & Nick and we are so excited to be on our adoption journey! After many years of going through re-current miscarriage, we felt that God was leading us towards adoption to bring home our first child. We always knew that adoption would be part of our journey to building our family, but thought that it would be later in life due to the high costs of adoption. After years of loss, we felt that God had different plans for us, and we just knew in our hearts that it was the right time to pursue adoption.
Recently, we've been matched with a baby boy due in June! We're so excited for our new journey, but with it comes very expensive costs. We've decided to fundraise for our adoption to help us bring home our baby through hosting donation based photography mini-sessions, selling baby blankets which we will bring to hospitals and charities for sick babies, and by holding a giant yard sale with family and friends.
Domestic infant adoption can range anywhere from $35,000 - $50,000+, plus legal fees, travel costs, home study costs and post-placement supervision costs. We've chosen to only work with ethical agencies that take very good care of the expectant mothers, as we strongly feel that every expectant mother should be supported during one of the most difficult times in their lives. A good portion of these fees go towards supporting the expectant mothers to ensure they have proper housing, nutrition, medical care, support and more.
We are so beyond thankful for any amount of money that anyone contributes to our journey, and most of all, for all of the love and support of our family, friends and the community. We can't wait to someday tell our little one how so many people rallied around us with so much love to bring him home. He is already so loved!
