We are adopting a child!
We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal of $1,500 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.
We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as he/she grows up.
Background: For those of you that don’t know us, we are a family of three dedicated to Christ with hearts for the many children that need a forever family (James 1:27). I, Casey, have wanted to adopt since I was a child. Vince and I have known we would pursue adoption since before we married over 10 years ago. And, our son, Lucus, is excited to welcome siblings through adoption! We hope to adopt multiple times for as long as we are able and are currently pursuing our first placement!
We are certified to foster and adopt through Oregon DHS. However, working through OR DHS does not include certification for interstate adoption. In order to get certified to adopt from other states, we have chosen to work with A Family For Every Child (https://www.afamilyforeverychild.org/), an organization that helps match potential adoptive families with children in need of a forever family. This organization assists in the logistics of the adoption process and serves as an advocate for the potential adoptive family.
Need: A Family For Every Child charges a modest flat-rate fee of $1500. The costs for adoption are many and to ease the financial burden, we are raising financial support to cover the cost of working with this organization.
How you can support: There are many ways you can support our adoption journey.

Second, you can share this website with others that you think would be interested in supporting.
Third, you can pray for our family and the many children struggling through the journey that leads to foster and adoption. Specifically, please pray for: 1.) patience as we wait for the opportunity to welcome kiddos into our family; 2.) guidance with decisions regarding potential placements; 3.) favor with the decision-makers when we feel led to pursue a specific placement; 4.) protection and peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) for the children waiting for their forever family, particularly in these times of social restrictions related to the pandemic.
