We are the Stertz family and we need your help! Our bustling band of eight is soon going to be a crazy clan of ten!
Over the last couple of years, God has worked in our hearts to pursue adoption. We know that there are many children who are in need of a loving family, who need to know the love of God and His gospel, and need to know the security of a stable home. God has not only worked in our hearts to pursue adoption but has already opened a pathway to adopt two girls from Liberia. We cannot yet share their names - are already becoming precious to us.
Adoption costs for us will exceed $40,000. This is why we have set a goal of $20,000 to help offset the cost. Would you consider joining with us to help bring these girls into our family? We need your prayers, encouragements, and financial help to make this happen. These are great ways you can be part of making a lasting impact into the lives of these girls.
Dear Friends,
We would like to thank all of you who have donated (both known and unknown). We cannot begin to tell you how truly humbled and grateful we are to those that have donated to our adoption.
We would like to just post an update (well more of a prayer request). If we are friends on Facebook you have already seen this.
We are in the waiting process with our adoption. One (huge) prayer request we have is that our paperwork will get to what is called the Ministry of Gender. This department is in charge of an investigation. This is one of the last steps in getting a travel date. We are still not planning to travel until at the earliest the end of the summer (although Isla is praying for them to be here for her 5th birthday July 27th).
But it would be such a peace of mind to have this investigation complete.
We are praying that this will happen before the month of May. May is the start of the rainy season and it makes travel very hard (and could cause some delays).
Would you pray with us?
Thank you so much.
In Christ,
-The Stertz Family
