is adopting a child from India

We’re adopting again!!!

We came home with our son, Vignesh on December 14th, 2016 after having spent a month in India. By December 19th, we knew we weren’t finished adopting. We decided to adopt from India again!

Now that Vignesh’s adoption is finalized and our home study is complete, we wanted to invite you to join us in our journey. We know that God will provide our financial needs, as he did for the last adoption, but we wanted to give you the opportunity to give if you feel led! We planned to fund the adoption through our savings, and grants (of which we have yet to receive any), but donating through this site is a tax-deductible way for you to help us financially. That being said, we know that the process of adopting is tough, and your prayers and support are just as valuable as finances, so don’t feel obliged to give!

Here’s where we are: We have completed our homestudy and it has been reviewed by both of our agencies. They will soon send it to India so that we can get approved to adopt from India. After that, we will be matched with our next child.

Our intention was to adopt one child internationally, and then grow our family another way (mostly because we knew we couldn’t afford to adopt internationally twice). We have chosen adoption as our first choice in growing our family, and no part of us regrets that decision. What we weren’t really prepared for, was leaving the other 12 children behind in India. But, it’s not really 12 children at all, its 31 million. 31. Million. Orphans in India. Yes, we cuddled, and tickled, and played with, and got drooled on by 12 amazing kiddos- some who have since gone to join forever families, and some who have not. Adoption isn’t something that we “did”. Adoption is our life now. We can never forget about the kids we met there, and the millions of children in India alone who they represent.

We know that not everyone can adopt. But we do believe that everyone can make a difference in the life of a child. Help us make a difference in the life of one more child.

Thank you!

Love, The Stradleys
