is adopting a child from United States of America

Hi everyone! We are so excited to welcome a son or daughter from the Dominican Republic into our family! We hope all of you will partner with us in prayer, but we wanted to provide a way that people who wanted to partner with us financially could do so. Adopt Together is a 501c3 organization so your contributions will be tax deductible. We are so thankful for all of the encouragement and support we have received from our family and friends so far! God Bless!

Update 8/11/16 - Dossier is officially en route to DR and our DR attorney is already working on translation! Now the long wait begins!

Update 01/02/2017 - Our church hosted a fundraiser dinner for us in October and generous family and friends continue to support us through prayer and financial support. In addition to the money donated on this site, we have received over $3500 as well as a $5000 grant from an agency that supports adoption. So, that puts us over $13,000+ for our adoption fundraising goal of $20,000. Getting closer!!!

Update 04/27/17 We received a notification that we have been awarded a $3,000 grant! We still hope to do another fundraiser to cover more expenses of the adoption!

Update 9/8/17 Renewed our home study at our adoption agency. We were told that we will likely be waiting another year to be matched. Disappointing to hear, but we are trusting that God is in control of our timeline.

Update 8/11/18 Facetimed with an official from CONANI about our timeline. We were told we are family #56 in line to be matched.

Update 9/15/18 We hosted a pancake breakfast at our church. Community support was awesome and between donations given online and at the breakfast, we raised over $3700! Overwhelmed at the generosity of our community.

Update 12/21/18 Homestudy renewal #2. Trying to be patient. Trusting God's timing.

Update 2/28/19 Found out we have dropped to #36 on the list. Was hoping we'd be lower. But God is in control. We will continue to trust that our family will grow in His time

Update 6/1/19. Our agency has asked us to consider domestic adoption as an alternative option to Dominican. DR has not been very transparent or forthcoming with information about timeframe or what is causing such a delay. Our agency has closed the DR adoption program to any further applicants due to such long delays. After a lot of prayer and consideration, we are making a profile book that our agency will be showing to mothers here in Indiana that are desiring to make an adoption plan for their child. Our goal in adoption is to meet a need in the life of a child, no matter where that child comes from. We are not withdrawing from the Dominican Program, just adding another option. Whichever pathway matches us to a child first, we will consider that as God's direction. Please pray with us. For peace, and to find joy in the waiting.
