We have been blessed with three biological children. We thought that our family was complete until… Our eyes were opened and our hearts were broken with the reality that there are millions of orphans around the world. We wanted to do something. At first we felt a bit helpless. How could we really make a difference? Then God showed us what we did have and what we could do…we have a family, we could give one orphan a family, and that is what we believe that God has called us to do. Our lives are not our own. We were bought with a price…the precious blood of Jesus. Each day we are called to take up our cross and follow Him wherever He may lead us. Our Savior has lead us to a little girl in China who doesn&'t have a family…yet. Even though we thought that our family was complete, God knew that there was a missing piece…a precious gift from Him that will change our lives forever…our daughter (name will be revealed through puzzle as money is raised, see blog). From the beginning of this process, we knew that we would have to rely on God to help us pay for this adoption. It required a big step of faith, but we are so excited to see how He will provide. Our adoption expenses will total around $35,000. We have used all the funds we personally had available ($13,500) and have already acquired a little over $5,000 through fundraisers and a few generous donors.
