“When are you two going to have kids?” SOON WE HOPE!
We haven’t always been open about our story, but we are now excited to share that we are adopting! We have always wanted to start a family, but we also knew that we wouldn’t be able to have biological children. After exploring IVF options, we feel that adoption is the best way for us to build our family; our hearts have led us here, and we are excited about our future family.
Although we can’t wait to welcome a child into our home, we also know the adoption process can be a lengthy and expensive one. During our research and our initial information sessions, we found that adoption related costs will be $45,000 to $55,000 (home studies, documentation, agency and legal fees, etc.). In the US, 33% of couples consider adoption; however, 79% of the families are deterred by the high costs, and in the end only 2% adopt. We have set up this page to facilitate fundraisers to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents. We chose AdoptTogether, and every donation is tax-deductible and can only be used in the adoption process.

We have completed all our paperwork and have moved on to the matching process. We have been submitting our profile to birth Moms as they become available through our agency. We hope our wait isn't too long and we are selected as potential adoption parents!!!
