We are adopting a baby!!!
We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home through domestic infant adoption. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal of $30,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents like us.
We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as he/she grows up. Whether you donate money or donate a prayer we are so grateful for you in our lives! "Whoever receives a child in my name receives me." Matthew 18:5
Here are a list of expenses and when they're due:
Application & Orientation Fees: $3,200 (Paid Oct. 1 2018)
Home Study Fee: $1,500 (Paid Dec 2018)
Match Ready Phase Fee: $7,350 (Paid Feb 2019)
At Match Phase Fee: $7,000 (due when we are matched with birth mother)
Placement Phase Fee: $7,000 (due when our baby is born and we bring baby home)
Adoption Finalization Attorney Fees: $1,500-$3,000 (due TBD)
Birth Mother Expenses: $500-$5,000 (due TBD)
Estimated Travel Expenses: $1,000-$3,000
